Mallikarjuna Stones Ltd is the export arm of a family that has quarried and processed Shahabad limestone in Kalaburagi district, Karnataka for over 30 years, supplying across India. We now supply direct worldwide, with the UK as our first established market.
The stone
Shahabad limestone, from the Kalaburagi belt
Shahabad limestone is a fine-grained limestone quarried across the Kalaburagi belt of north Karnataka, used for flooring and paving across India for decades. It is much less known outside India than Indian sandstone, and that gap is the reason we are opening this channel now.
We own the quarry and run the polishing yard ourselves — Mallikarjun Stone Polishing Industries, in Miriyan village, Chincholi taluk, Kalaburagi district. Every stone we sell is cut, honed and polished there before it ever leaves India. What lands at your yard is finished and ready to lay.
