The bed and how it behaves

Shahabad Yellow is also traded as Tandur Yellow. Both names are used for warm golden-buff material from the same wider Shahabad–Tandur limestone belt, with Shahabad identifying the Karnataka side and Tandur the Telangana side.

For buyers, the useful control is not the label alone but an approved dry and wet sample. This colour deepens noticeably when wet, so a rain-soaked terrace reads much richer than a dry showroom piece even though the underlying stone is unchanged.
