The bed and how it behaves

Shahabad Grey is traded by UK and European merchants as Tandur Grey or Dove Grey. Those names describe the same fine-grained grey limestone material from the Shahabad–Tandur belt, rather than three unrelated stones, but a quotation should still record the approved colour sample and finish.

Shahabad is the name used on the Karnataka side of the limestone belt and Tandur on the Telangana side. Our grey material comes from our quarry operation in Karnataka; the alternative names matter because buyers may meet the stone in existing merchant ranges under Tandur Grey or Dove Grey.

Natural and honed faces cover most work; polished and brushed faces are produced to order. All finishing is carried out at our own yard, so what arrives has already been sized and finished.
