How the stone is checked
Technical data
Family owned, direct from our own quarry. We quarry, cut, hone and polish at our own yard, so every piece is checked by the same people who cut it, before it is crated for shipping.

Sampling
Sample before order
We do not take an order against a photograph alone. Every enquiry that proceeds to quote can be offered a physical sample cut from current stock, so a buyer can inspect colour, finish and general condition of the stone before committing.
Approval is sample-based: the piece you approve becomes the reference against which your order is checked at the yard before it is crated.
At the yard
In-process checks
01
Block selection
Blocks assessed visually for fracture, colour and bedding consistency before cutting.
02
Cutting
Slabs cut to the ordered size at our own yard.
03
Honing and polishing
Finish applied on-site to the ordered specification.
04
Pre-crating inspection
Visual and dimensional check for edge chipping, staining and visible fracture before a piece is wrapped.
05
Crating
Crate contents checked against the packing list before the lid is fixed.
Thickness is held to a tolerance of ±1mm. Sizes are cut to your schedule at our own yard, then checked against the approved sample before crating.
